Announcing Spacehawk - a new Metroidvania based on an 85 year old comic book.

SPACEHAWK is out now! It's a 2D action platformer, inspired by Metroid, and based on an 85 year old comic book. It features art and code by Elvies and music by Doctor Deathray, and it might be the best game Mountain Town Industries has released so far.

Genuinely, I'm so excited about it.

After crash landing on an alien world, you make a discovery. A massive illegal mining operation, hidden deep beneath the surface. You must explore the interconnected caverns on this alien planet and find the materials needed to repair your ship.
Watch out, though, the mining operation is well guarded, the local wildlife is rambunctious, and there are secrets waiting to be discovered.

You can play it now in your browser, or get a digital download. Cartridges will be available at the end of May!

Now, since this is our fan club and it's where we share behind the scenes stuff, I'll let you in on a sneak peek of two more SPACEHAWK things.

This is a silver Gamedad, with a custom Spacehawk shell. We'll have a a limited quantity of these available for Momocon/Wonderfest at the end of the month.

And the above is an illustration proof (text not final!) of an upcoming SPACEHAWK comic book done in a manga style, which we'll also be debuting at Momocon.

If you're interested in any of these products, but won't be able to make it to momcon, let us know! We'll be setting aside a small number of copies for members of the Joyful Revolution!
